Decrease the Chance of a Wildfire by 50% by Raising the Lake

Our Mission

  • Catastrophic wildfire prevention.
  • Ecosystem restoration (the nesting Grebes population has gone from hundreds to less than 13).
  • Reduced water rates for Solana Beach and Rancho Santa Fe and other water districts.
  • Increased water security during drought conditions.
  • Enhanced fire-fighting capacity with a larger water source for CAL FIRE.
  • Recreation:  Boats cannot be launched for fishing, etc. below 293 feet.
  • Hydroelectric power generation, allowing the existing Lake Hodges power plant to power 26,000 homes. (currently unusable below 293 feet)
